Gulf Presbyterian Church was founded on the fourth Sabbath in January, 1882 and today the church is a vibrant force in the community and surrounding areas. Continual growth in the church's membership indicates a strong future and new visitors are welcomed weekly.

The church is made up of warm, loving members and guests who are dedicated to continuing the work and worship of God in this place and who look to the future with great excitement.

The fellowship hall, completed in September, 2007 is the center of many activities offering opportunities for the sharing of food, music, and Christian fellowship. A breakfast buffet is served on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 10 am during which time special music, presentations, hymn sings, etc. are enjoyed. A child care area is included in the fellowship hall and "pew pals" (cloth bags containing activities for children) are provided in the sanctuary for children who remain during the worship service. Children's sermons are included in the worship order and provide a special treat for children and adults alike.
